Apparently released today  :D the guys from Privateer Press have something you might rather like, the thrullg an wonderfully lovecraftian horror.

Wow, I am really negative today, not aiming this at you personally, YPU.

We have different tastes, it seems.

I would call it "stupid-looking" rather than 'Lovecraftian'.
One thing old HPL did well, was NOT making his monsters anthropomorphic, with claws and extra bits pasted on.

And for $16 for the single-figure kit, they can keep it.

Don't worry, I'm not taking it personally, and I can see what you are saying.

BUT to counter, I think this model looks a lot more imposing than some of the cthulhu models, which there are plenty of around here as well. (and gods some of those can look stupid)

I do agree on the price tough, PP is not cheap.

I think it's well worth the price, as a matter of fact I think that's cheap for a big monster.
I don't get the hate, looks like a nice enough model to me.
Maybe with some different paint and the atmosphere of a lost cruise liner that just came into the harbor on a misty moonless night...

That one goes for my shopping list definately. I agree also that some (imo 99%) Cthulhu themed figures are ridiculously poorly sculpted. But yes we don't all like the same things and that's a good thing :)

Only thing holding it back in my opinion is the price as said earlier and maybe add a few more tentacles ;)

Looks more Hellboyish than Lovecraftian.  Wait, is that even a word?  ???

The face tentacles seem like an after thought. It's all right I guess.
