My NoRse warband for Mordheim
« on: September 07, 2010, 03:09:04 PM »
Inspired for the great supplement Border Town Burning, I recycled my dipped marauders to make a Norse warband.
Nothing special, but I feel pleased how turned my chieftain and my seer.
You can see pics at my blog: http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/2010/09/warband-for-mordheim-norses-from-border.html
Cheers,

I think a Pirate Warband may have stolen your aRrrrrrrrr.....  lol

They do look nice.  I like the first model quite a bit.  Is that a converted chaos warrior?  In terms of cheap spawn, are we talking Games Workshop only?  'Cause there's a few cheap pre-painted D&D miniatures that could work nicely.

Somebody game it to me. I think it is a figure from a Games Day in Spain, and it's not converted at all.
Of course it hasn't to be GW. I'll be grateful if you could provide me with some pre-painted D&D miniatures links or ideas.
Thanks.

Wouldn't want to be on the end of any ranged attacks coming from it though!  :o

Nice painting by the way!

Here are some of the critters, along with the set they are from.  Ebay is your best bet on singles.  I may have a spare or two kicking around.  The monsters are all mounted on a large base, either 30mm or 40mm.  There are plenty of other monsters too.  Most of which need just a touch up or a wash to  get them right.

Chaos Beast, Night Below

Otyugh, Giants of Legend

Life leech Otyugh, Night Below

Chull, Legendary Evils

Roper, Against the Giants

Caller in the Darkness, Unhallowed

Tsucora  Quori, Unhallowed

Here's a link to the Wizards of the Coast DDM gallery, it will have those monsters and more.

Many, many thanks P_Clapham, I specially like the first and the last ones. I'll have a look on Ebay.
