discounted G.I. Joe tank
« on: September 12, 2010, 09:00:26 PM »

Found this G.I. Joe tank for €10,00 at the supermarket. it looks good for a heavy tank, but the turret looks off for 28mm scale. Any suggestions how to make it look more to scale?

why don't you seal the turret, an encosed space would look less out of scale!

the tank looks like a massive AA gun
Cheers,

I´ve bought a couple of those and I'm planning on using them with those turrets - but I'm going to close them with some plasticard. My intention is turning them into something like these:

Funny. I have the original of this GI tank. The new version is actually more detailed than the old (holes in the barrel and that stuff wasn't in the old version). And the colours are different.   :)

WOW!!!

Me like!!!

Give it some air cushion skirts and it would become a Hammer's Slammers tank!

That is a nice looking tanky thing with a lot of potential.

Can you give me some more info on it as my rather poor search results have not turned anything up similar here in the UK  :(

I would like to get one.

thanks everyone!

the toy is from G.I.Joe - the rise of cobra toyline (loosely based on the film?)
it's called 'armored panther' and includes sgt. Thunderblast.

On the box there's mention of gijoe.com

If it was me I'd also try cutting the little flaps/sights/whatever those are off of the ends of the barrels.
Jane! Stop this crazy thing!
