Some of you may remember FP's gorgeous multipart Empire Knight sculpts from a few years back on the Warhammer Empire forum. Some may also remember at some point we joined forces to get these on your table. Then nothing for quite some time... It's been a long time coming, but the end is in sight now. After some initial difficulties to turn the masters into metal (especially the separate barding) and the need to commission some extra bits to fill the gaps, I've just sent the basic knight kit to the mouldmaker for production moulding.
It will contain all the bits shown below and will require four (!) complete moulds to fit it all. Now this is an advanced kit, which means there are a few things you'll have to do when assembling it to make it shine. That will be pinning the horses to their bases (I had to leave them untabbed as tabbing them in advance would essentially limit them to 3 fixed poses) and drilling a hole to fit the horse tail (you could also slice off the pin on the tail and glue it directly onto the horse, but that will be a somewhat less sturdy bond. Ideally, some filling or filing might improve the look of the separate barding when applied, though that is up to personal taste really.
