Yeah, thats true and I suppose if I did it and then considered reselling "copies" townsfolk figures would be of limited value as they can't be in armies.... but it would be cool!

One word, Militia.

Really great addition!

Lovely little multipart models. It's gonna be a great little range.

Is it going to be like the old crossbow/spear/musket dwarves? I have 2!

There will be that, yes.
By now you'll have seen that I try to get the most variety out of the sculpts and that is a good way.

Will the mounted figures come with a spear/lance option too?

Not these particular ones, but there will be proper knights for the range, with lances. ;)

Although it's not excluded we could have a spear options for these as light cavalry. I will think about it.

It certainly is. I hate sculpting multiparts though, it's a pain to get everything to fit and there is always one pose that will look better!

It looks like your sculptor had no such problem and doesn't suffer from 'Flintloquitis', which Mike Owen suffered from for quite some time. I've been told by professionals that it looks like my case cannot be healed.  ;D

We weren't sure how it was going to work out either, but the beards help and though there will always be some heads that look better on some bodies than on others, overall it turned out pretty well. I also considered separate heads for the ponies but in the end we decided it will look better if we simply convert the two ponies after moulding to add more variety.

Flintloquitis: An uncommon condition in Miniatures Designers which prohibits the sculptor from sculpting anything other than Flintloque miniatures, or occaissionally, Flintloque 'style' miniatures. Some symptoms may be:
Crude, but characterful sculpting,
Bigger fingers than Trigger guards on the miniatures
Frothing over the recent Flintloque releases that no-one else cares about.
Telling Napoleonics players why your 'Ferach Elves' can wear Green if they are in 1815 French Line Infantry uniforms.

Telling Napoelonics players that their Prussian Landwehr would look much better if they were Dwarves...

no offence intended to the poor afflicted of course (or to flintloque). I just need the style of the figures to remain consistant.  ;)

Well, I could consider doing a few alternative heads with TYW headgear, but then I'd be bothered about the uniform details that don't quite fit, so it would mean converting the bodies too and there are too many other things on the to do list.
