Brilliant. I would be very interested in a set of those foot knights in due course.

You mean as they are now or kitted out with plumes, feathers and crests?

Excellent dismounted knights - fine comrades for the dismounted Reiksguards, and work very well for 16th century dismounted gendarmes.

Well, we'll see. The helmet blanks could probably be added to a mould with the bodies.

As for "finished" helmets, I will see with the sculptor whether the shoulderarmour will allow a separate head system on the finished figures.

and then tell him that integral heads are the way to go instead of all these seperate pieces  ;D ;D just like Uncle Peter says  lol lol

lol  I'll think about it (also because Mick's singlepart figures look so damned fine).

At the moment leaning towards a compromise, with singlepart sets for the different knightly orders and then one set with separate heads and weaponhands as a unitbuilder option that can work for different orders. Might do the same for the command set perhaps, we'll see.

Having taken over FP's fanproject of Renaissance fantasy knights, I've received the last bits in a transitional resin cast by Fenris Games, which will be used to make a mastermould for metal casting. This batch included the knight bodies:

Some more pictures:

A huge block of resin, with some small bits attached (helmet, right and left knight arm, gothic helmet tops, horse tail).:

"Naked" horse body halves: 3 different right sides, 3 different left sides, allowing for 9 variant body poses. All by FP. Bottom right you can see the helmet icons that are visible in resin in the other picture.

Horse armoured barding blanks.

Armoured horse heads, three variant poses.

And as a reminder, an earlier resin mock-up by King of a full knight with a proxy plastic lance (a full lance has been sculpted since).

These look brilliant! I've always loved the kind of late-renaissance style that seems sadly underrepresented, only Foundry and the GW Knights of the Empire fill out the gap. Do you have any idea how your knights are gonna scale with those?

The foot knights will be about the same scale as the old reiksguard on foot GW had in the nineties.

The mounted knights are more heroic in size, like current GW.
