The mounted knights are an original fan project by a sculptor (FP) on a different forum, but as usual, life got into the way and he never managed to complete it. He graciously agreed to let me take it up and expand on it.

Out of respect for the sculptor's original vision, I will try to offer the separate components he made as a multipart set, as is, for people to mix and match with bits from other sources as well. So if the metal casting works out, there will be a modular converter's set with the various horse and knight parts and bits. This will include the horse parts and barding you see in the pics, the knight bodies and arms (with full lance), more heads for them, shields and some other add-on bits. It's not a 100% complete set as it was unfinished (for instance, no arm variants, only one horse tail option), but it's very close to it.

After that, the idea is to do some (less multipart) different knightly orders based on these bits and new sculpting, probably with some singlepart horses with themed barding based on these building blocks.

Fantastic!  I can't wait to get my hands on some.  Any idea on time tables?

The current state is: about half of the (completed) components (this includes horse bodies and heads) have been mastermoulded and I'm expecting the metal mastercastings for them in the mail any day now (I hope). The other half has been cast in transitional resin (as shown above, this includes knight bodies and barding) and will be going to the mouldmaker as well for moulding, once I've had some time to sit down and clean them (and fill the occasional tiny bubble).

Difficult to give any exact timeframe as the mouldmaker is swamped with work, so no telling how quickly he can get around to them (not to mention he has to make and cast 10 or so productionmoulds for my sea elves, dwarf inventors & artillerists and human zombies). Still, I'm hopeful the basic ubermodular converter's set should be out before the end of the year.

Juan Montaņo completed work on the halfling special troops: the piggyback riders with mancatchers! I'm not making this up (well, technically, I did, but I'm sure you'll agree the concept just had to be done).

Full command group, with captain, standardbearer and musician:

A closer look at the command figures. The lower halflings generally tend to look a bit grumpy, guess they feel like they're carrying all the load here.

There are five unique trooper variants, each with separate head for the top halflings, allowing for more customization.  The heads from the infantry sets should provide some more opportunity for individual looks:

A few closer looks at some of the variants and a size comparison with an old plastic elf:

The Little Guys are BEAUTIFUL creations. Their main appeal for moi is they are WONDERFULLY silly. GREAT WORK as always!

They'll be added to the "getting some" section of the blog as soon as I have productioncastings, which should be before the end of the year.

Well, these will be a bit longer than say, the sea elves, zombies and dwarf artillerists, so you have time to save up for the order after that. ;)

Silly is something that is much needed in a halfling range IMO.  ;)

While we wait for the imminent new metals, I would like to share this fantastic paintjob done by Stuart on the human hackbut gunner for his Renaissance army:

He did an excellent job on the figure in my opinion. :-*

If you're interested in landsknecht figures, you should definitely check out his blog 'Army Royal', which has many more eyecandy from, among other things, Foundry and Pro Gloria Miniatures: http://www.stuartsworkbench.blogspot.com

That is indeed a BEAUTIFULLY DONE miniature. The brushwork & the selection of colors are OUTSTANDING.
I'll have to checkout The Blog...I do have a thing about Landsknecht
