Underworld Selene finished - Terrain repainted blue!
« on: August 12, 2007, 06:54:02 AM »
I finally finished the Selene figure along with the terrain. I matched it to the movie as close as I could. Check out the pics and the reference pics. I needed to do something with the outside of the terrain piece, so I decided to put some graffiti on there. I tried to make it authentic :)

Here are the reference pictures:

Here is the fig:

Happy to be done, but I am happy with it :)

looks pretty cool!  Might have been better if you shaded the scenery blueish as well?

That's true. But the mini is really good.

Nicely done.  I always have problems with predominantly black clothing, but it works well here.

I also like the graffiti tag on the wall  8)

Nice figure have you thought about adding some empty shell cases to the base?

You've captured that shot from the movie really nicely, the finished details on her look great.

Also that graffiti looks fantastic, very, very cool.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, it is greatly appreciated :) It is nice to hear it from you guys especially...

Sure, maybe I should have put some shells and blue lighting on the terrain, but I can't stand to go back to this project ;)

Grimm, that fire extinguisher is scratch built using a piece of plasticard dowel and some greenstuff!

Thanks again, everyone, and thanks for your help in the WIP phase. :)

Sorry to sound negative, but I donīt think that the diorama suits the figure. I wouldnīt even say that the walls should be blue, but I think that they simply are too bright to match it. Other than that, excellent work.

Now, wait some months, and then youīll be so sick of the piece sitting on your shelf, mocking you with its tiny imperfections, and youīll want to build a new diorama! Since the figīs single-based, I guess that wonīt be too much of a problem... ;)

Well, I doubt that it will be bugging me after a few months because it is currently for sale on eBay! So, unless it doesn't sell at all...

Anyway guys, please refresh the image of the terrain that I posted, because I broke down and redid the paint job. Everything is blue! What do you think?

8) Now it's even better! Maybe you should really break down some more and add the empty shells too...
