Alamo game pictures
« on: 01 October 2010, 08:04:15 PM »
Here are couple pictures of our latest Alamo themed game old west game. A fun session of a not so serious game where Texas lady rangers held the Alamo with help of Chinese axainst Mexican troops and their allies. Idea was to introduce the game mechanics to new players.

More pictures can be seen here on our club website. Report is in Finnish but pictures tell everything :)

Looked like a nice fun game.

The miniatures look really well painted.

Thank you!

The prepainted buildings are from http://www.tablescape.co.uk/ . I glued turf  in the bottom to make them blend in the landscape and added green flock to the walls. They were a fast way to have a city and I especially like them being light weight. I guess they are some sort thick polyurethane type of material(?).

Miniatures are from several different companies: Artizan design, Obelisk miniatures, Redoubt, Black Scorpion, Copplestone, etc.

Most of the animals are old 80' plastic animals glued to a washer and painted. Really cheap material as bought from a flea market for few pennies.

The bigger cactus are from Schleigh which was chopped into smaller pieces.

Tents are from Renedra and many of the boxes are from Pardulon and few are from Ainsty. The hang platform is scratch build.

What a lovely set-up!

The board is very good - I love the wooden edging. Somehow it seems to make it look more authentic  :?  :)

Any game with female Texas Rangers fighting alongside Chinese Tigermen has got to be good one  ;)
