Best 6mm Germans, best overall vehicles?
« on: 09 October 2010, 03:07:12 PM »
Hello,

I'm investigating other sources of models for Games Workshop's Epic game. It's a fantastic system but for several reasons I only want to buy the barest minimum official models. Blood Pact, a renegade military cult, only really present in the background (the only model support being 3rd party conversion kits for the main 28mm game) have a particularly German WWII vibe (except with punch and judy masks).

And so which companies make good WWII Germans and who makes good armour? I'm sure I will prefer to use historical vehicles as well wherever possible.

Cheers,
Captain Brimmage

GHQ MicroArmour - probably the cleanest, crispest sculpts and casts, including infantry that doesn't look like out-of-focus blobs.

Oh, pricey too, but you pay for quality...

I had looked at them before but I had no idea as to their quality. Bloody cheap compared to what Games Workshop charges for old sculpts from broken down moulds, too! That's basically three of the reasons why I'm avoiding the official stuff.

C in C also make some beautiful models, the quality is generally regarded as being as good as the GHQ models.

If those are too expensive there is always Heroics & Ros, the quality is generally regarded as being much poorer.
