Mekton miniatures, looking for pics
« on: 14 October 2010, 09:58:33 AM »
Hey guys, I got some Mekton miniatures in a batch from leadasbestos, and now I am looking for some build examples of the buggers, as I am not entirely clear on where some of the parts are meant to go. Normally I would simply do as I like, but I am a big fan of mekton and would like to build these they way they are supposed to go.

The moddels are by RAFM and are nubbered and named 1026 ajax worker and 1027 achilles recon. Stuff of legends has lower numbered ones and higher numbered ones, but not these two... Anybody out there who can help me?

The line drawings in this book might be your best bet.

hm indeed, anybody know if that book does actually include these two models? I have pretty much everything of Mekton Zetta out there in PDF but that does not include these as far as I am aware.

Silly suggestion perhaps, but if you haven't already, why don't you email or write to RAFM and ask them?

I'm sure they're likely to have some photos, or at least be able to provide you with some advice. If you're lucky, they might even be able to scan or photocopy a page from a back catalogue for you. GW have kindly done this in the past for me, so it might be worth a go!

HaHa, I gods that the one thing I always first suggest when people come to be "cause you studdy psychology 'nd stuff" is "Have you asked about it?"

Silly of me to forget that, indeed. Thanks for the suggestion, lets see if it bears any fruits.

I got a reply, apparently there never were any pictures! The models where the final few in the series and it was stopped before the relevant catalogue was produced.  lol

I saw an image of what purports to be an Ajax Worker off of an TMP request for offers.

No assumption of accuracy implied. Just something for you to look at.
