Some of my Post Apocalypic Characters....
« on: October 23, 2010, 11:30:13 PM »
Here is a small selection of the characters to be found roaming around Mattblackgod's world...

First Up...

Scarlett D'Eath was kicked out of a vault for her troublesome ways...and killing someone who crossed her.

She wandered the Wastelands and may be found in the Confederacy lands, Liberty Wastes and the Glowing Coast Wastelands. She has made quite a name for herself. No one knows what she will do. She has been known to help some poor sap. On other occasions Scarlett has walked calmly into a settlement and slaughtered every living thing there.

Scarlett has managed to find some power armour on her adventures. If you seek her help you better hope that she likes the look of you...

The Character is based on one of my Fallout3 characters who I played Evil to Good depending on my mood that day!

Introducing Muther Trucker....

Years ago some woman decided that the wastelands was no safe place to live. After being raped she was blessed with a child. The Mother went out of her way to befriend a road raider to whom she got pregnant a second time. Whilst with child she slit his throat when he was asleep and then stole his Truck. The legend of Muther Trucker and her daughters (Love and Hate) was born.

Muther Trucker is a Hasslefree Madge. I think the mini on the left (Love) is from Foundry. I am unsure who makes the right hand mini (Hate).

Hate lost and eye during a fight with a mutant beasty years ago.

The Truck...

The Truck is a cheap toy monster truck (£1). I added some post apocy bits and scratch built the back box. It is decorated with bits from my bits box (some of which are from Ramshackle).

Up front a LMG keeps the road clear whilst above the cab is mounted flame throwers to stop wasteland nasties and baddies storming the cab.

The post apocalyptic world is a frightening one. If you go to Vali's Fortress they whisper about a horror that lives in the Swamps North of the Blight (a bio engineered virus that rots you) ridden North Port and along the Rust river that borders the Scav Lands. Folks in the Scav Lands also speak of the horror and will not cross the Rust River.

For in the Swamp lurks many mutated creatures and plants, but the worst of all is the Mutant known as Shriek.

Shriek attacks anything he doesn't like in his swamp. The truth of the matter is all he wants is to be left alone. That doesn't stop bands of fool hardy adventures and wannabee trying to kill him.

But Shriek isnt entirely alone. He has allies. Years ago he was befriended by the mystical weirdo Sham from Vali's fortress. It wasnt easy but Sham has ways. Even Charon the Blighted has befriended Shriek. He invited the mutant to join the fortess, they dont mind if you are big, ugly and smelly....look at Charon!

Shriek is another bit of fun from my demented brain. He is a much green stuffed GW Ogre Bull.

Introducing.... Shabby and Skaggydoo!

Shabby and his dog Skaggydoo wander the wastelands looking for a party. They have been on the road in their van "the Misery Machine" since they lost the rest of their gang "Misery Inc". The gang were investigating a large mutant monster that had been terrorising a village. As it turns out the large mutant monster turned out to be a large mutant monster with lots of teeth. Not a old man in a mask as the gang originally thought. It ate the rest of the gang. Shabby and Skaggdoo are natural cowards and did a runner at the first sign of danger. That is why they are alive now and the rest of Misery Inc are not.

Shabby is a coward and will run at the first sign of trouble. He however gravitates to parties. Unknown to Shabby and many who meet him is the fact he suffers from a mutation. He has the ability to eat virtually anything....even Tinker's Rat On a Stick in special sauce with Tinker Flakes topping... and he can eat lots of it.

Skaggydoo looks like an ordinary dog. But he is a PSI mutant. The dog share a mind link with his owner Shabby and as such has taken on many of his traits. The dog is a coward and can also eat anything. If fact the pair are often in friendly competition about what and how much they can eat. The dog also appears to be unusually intelligent and can communicate beyond the usual dog range. Skaggydoo is a coward but will risk life and limb if Shabby is in danger.

Shabby is a Hasslefee Wolsey mini and the Dog is from the same line.

And of course...we need the all important Misery machine...

The van is a 1/43 VW bus I got off evil bay. I repainted it. The spare wheels are from a toy jeep. The roof rack is aluminium mesh with bits n bobs added. I couldnt not make a van too.

The idea is to use Shabby and Skaggydoo as wanderers who happen to be around the action. Who knows they may even turn out to be heroes.

I like the idea of Shabby and Skaggydoo being a predate version of Vic and Blood (from "A Boy and His Dog)!  lol
Nice to know some of the gang survived. Those meddling kids!!!

Nice minis!! Loved the ogre!

I love it. I never thought about the fun of having the Gang in a Fallout universe. Hmm. I may have to rebase mine and muck up the Mystery Machine a bit...

Matt Black God,

At the risk of repeating everyone else, that Misery machine is just a winner. Great.

They're available from any shop selling Games Workshop products as a regiment of six:

Shouldn't be hard to find some spare parts/second hand models.
