What I painted in October 2010
« on: October 31, 2010, 01:50:59 AM »
No October thread yet? Slackers!  ;)

It's been a good month; finished 15 Pulp Figures 28mm guys (Surly Servants, Idle Rich, Reporters), one Reaper 28mm Dwarf who's been lurking on my painting table most of a year.

I also got 35 figures cleaned, based and primered; 15 more Pulp guys (British Officers, Sons of Empire, Russian Count) and a 10-man section of Old Glory Late WW1 British Infantry. They don't count as painted, naturally, but having a ready-to-go stock of prepped stuff is nice.

Photos of the finished figures early next week, I promise.

Sadly my camera has died, but I did finish:

3 Land Rover WMIKs, two .50s and a GMG.  (I started these for the LPL earlier in the year, but finally finished them last week)

30-something Mantic Zombies.  Pushing my horde well over the 100 painted Zeds.  :)

4 Bolt Action Russians with SMG.

Plenty of scenery finished up as well, lots more started, but not finished.  All in quite a busy month for me.

A handful of Harmonious Fists, only another twenty nine to do now unless I purchase some more ::)

a couple of Mutineer Highlanders

and a single Tong Chinese from Obelisk making sixty four for the month and taking my years total to 348 so only seventeen more to do in the next two months to hit the one a day I was aiming for :)

Any chance of some close ups of the chinese Svennn.
They look great in  the group shot.
How many do you have painted now?

I didn't paint as much as Svenn :( Just two Front Rank swordsmen (my Mordheim mercs are 50% painted now) and a b*d*ss yakuza from EM4.

Sorry Colin, I packed them away before I saw your request. Heres one I started this evening though

I presume you have a desire to see the figures rather than my painting ;) Why didn't you go to the Old Glory UK website? Oh, you did and found no pics >:( So you then went to the US site too. Same result  >:( Bloody ridiculous in this day and age.

As I said in the banner thread I found these to be much nicer than the bag of Braves I did a couple of months ago and on the whole are nice. A few munters amongst them but I may even prefer them to the other brands out there.

As for how many? About 150 boxers and 450 Victorian Chinese in total painted now :)

Some bins (both wheelie and dust), along with some miscellaneous urban detritus were all I manage to paint this month, which was a bit disappointing... (especially considering they were given a quick and dirty paint job at the start of the month to clear room for some minis to get paint...)

I never added my own stuff.
A Zeppelin and crew.
More than enough pictures around already so I will not post any more.

I guess this is one of those models I never manage to finish properly, but let's call it an October job.

Midnight photography, not the best you can get. The two odd characters I painted to break my painter's block, or while waiting the wash dry. Can't remember...

Stunning! I love the effect on the bricks and the rust on the metal bits.

Just to prove I'm not just selling stuff off, my newly painted Pendraken dungeon:-

I don't know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.
