Dark Age Great Hall...
« on: 15 November 2010, 01:20:12 PM »
50x40cm skirmish-board for a dark-age-setting: vikings, Beowulf etc.

Most of the stuff is selfmade, exept the standing stones, barrels and the small fireplace.
The tables are of plasticcard and balsawood...

Took me about 24h to build and paint the hall (not quite finished yet).

The figures are for scale purpose only. I'll use foundry vikings... :)

Lovely setting. Looks like this could be a really fun game. I'm a big fan of dark ages scirmish. play Pig Wars as much as I can.

Great stuff! Looks really nice. Wonderful details! Perfect setting for Beowulf and the likes. I love it when I see a nice playing table and the stories just start coming on their own!

It is nice. Inspiring. Do you plan to put a roof on it? Do you use it for Lord of the Rings?

Thanks

That's a brilliant idea! It looks very transportable. I will have to try this out one day!

Very nice  :) and I like the fact that there's plenty of room to move the figures round but it doesn't detract from the 'look'  8)

cheers

Thanx for your nice comments... :)

@jimbibbly
I hope there will be enough room to move. Not quite sure though...

Here are a few of the vikings, for the beowulf-scenario. Foundry-vikings... :-*
I bought them at a Bring&Buy for a reasonable price.
All figures are dipped and still need a little finishing.

Still have to paint the monsters... :)

Yes I was quite surprised too when I read that, though it is noticable on a few shields. You seem to have really got the blond hair well, how've you done it?
