Tremendous yet again. There is some really nice stuff making it onto your painting table of late and you are doing a cracking job with all of it.

Ooooh I've had these sitting on my shelf for years now.

You've done a wonderful job.

They're done by Bob Olley (my fav sculpter).

I would argue about the category you've put them in though.  ;)

Thanks chaps.  Glad you like them.   :)

I thought here or "fantasy" and as I don't double-post and these are as swashbuckling as you can get... ;)

Who makes them?

Ollies armies originally, now Armorcast.

They really are fabulous. Gorgeous job on the painting.

And I think they could not only buckle some swash, they could truss it up like a Chiristmas Octopus. Which is like a Christmas Turkey but more Piratical.

Nice paintwork, Malcolm.

Fantasy swashbuckling is okay in Swashbuckling Adventures - as long as there's clear 'swashbuckling' intent / reference.
I suppose 'Pirates of The Caribbean' is a good yardstick - clearly a movie series in the swashbuckling genre, yet with fantastical elements.
Not my thing for gaming purposes - I prefer my pirates games unadulterated by the undead and sea monsters. I'd say pirates are quite colourful and extreme enough without adding orcs and skeletons, but each to their own...
I guess this kind of stuff fits as well under the label of Swashbuckling as Fantasy, so take your pick where you put it...  :)

Beautiful, simply beautiful.

And I am glad to see it in the Swashbuckling section, myself, as I ran a game this weekend with pirate ships, but undead, cannibals, and giant sharks as well - and I was worried that it would be out of place if I put it under Swashbuckling.

 lol

Yeah, you can't sneak it into the Fantasy section just because of dwarves and skeletons and whatnot! The first hint of lacy cuffs and tricorn hats, and us fantasy types will throw up our hands in horror and squeal "eeergh! Bucklers of Swash!", then petition White Knight to expel it over here.

Fantasy stops in the equivalent of 1600, I tells yah!

Love those figures, and you did a brilliant job on them.

They mix well with the Black Scorpion dwarves, by the way.
