Only just stumbled upon this thread; fantastic stuff, gives me the inspiration to finish off some of my colonials still lying about unpainted.

This is really good stuff. Getting me inspired to get back into this period. I'm going to have to dig into my old lead pile, I know I still have a few figures that still need paint. It's also time to start ordering some of the wonderful new stuff that is out there.

There is only one new picture today. I am currently working hard on the new gaming board and some new miniatures have also arrived...so no time for taking photos…

These images are so inspirational! They have the quality of figures, photography and scenery I aspire to.

They are really quite beautiful (to a wargamer anyway)!  :-*  :-*

Anyone lucky enough to see this stuff in the flesh, better still to play in a game of T&T with it, are blessed indeed.

Awesome work Frank and Björn, it's going to be one helluva game!  ;D

I have started to build the new gaming board. I was deeply impressed by the African board of Captain Blood (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=20284.0 ), so I decided to make something similar.

Here are the first steps:

Frank, that new board looks pretty good. You framed the styrofoam with strips of wood, is there a wooden sheets underneath the foam as well? If so, what non-warping material did you use?

Hi Benbow, No there are no wooden sheets underneath. We are only using a wooden frame to protect the sensitive edges of the board.

…and here are my latest miniatures…the Mahdi himself and some of his ansar:

Dazzling!   :o

I really like your style, Frank, and those photos you put together are so very atmospheric they are a joy to look at.

I've said it once, I'll say it again... Fantastic!

Happy New Year! I have been working on some new miniatures (Bazinger) and my new game board. As soon as I am finished with adding small stones and sand to the rest of the boards I will start painting everything. And here are the usual “Monday”-pictures:
