Really the whole thing was a dreadful mistake you see those roads are awfully narrow, and the brakes on a Morris not to mention a Vickers light are absolutely appalling and the chap was wearing black, I mean it wasn't night time but just imagine how bad it could have been if it was night time...I might have reversed.

I shall write to Commander Slugg advising Cerise uniforms and cow bells to avoid such incidents in future.  Really the army should devise some form of crossing code and at the armies suggestion some form of green crossing code.
