We really need a jealous icon on this forum :D

We do indeed - I am jealous of the SW lego battle 9it looked ace at Salute) and the Cobi army there.

And there are of course the rules to go with using Lego toy soldiers...  http://www.brikwars.com/

Brikwars was my introduction to wargaming... Ah, fond memories. Of viciously slaughtered Lego minifigs. I recommend it to anyone with Legos still floating around. Fun just for the shear ridiculous, childish, goofy experience of having brick armies blow each other to their composit parts. Like the Lego Star Wars game, but ultra violent. Good times.

Plus, Mike Rayhawk's art is a site to behold all on its own.

Inspired by this thread I rediscovered my old lego knights in the attic:

I also found instructions for the barding style warhorse in a joust set:

I'll most likely be using the rules for Songs of Blades and Heroes with a few minor alterations.

Ahh, childhood memories coming back in mind...
Wasn't one of the Jousting horses black/red?

Some pics of my Legos I'm using from time to time with BrickWars.

SWAT unit

Colonial Marines

Stormtrooper Commandos

Zeds (but need plenty more of them still ;))

Yes indeed. I just made these to match the colours of the No. 375 set knights.

Lovely looking squads you've got there. Very nice brickarms.

Another blast from the past:

30 years in the attic and not a single brick was missing. Amazing.  :)

This will be a nice centerpiece in my game. I'm thinking 9 32x32 stud baseplates.

I've been fooling around with some terrain ideas:

This is 2 base plates worth of terrain. I'm figuring on 9 or 16 plates when it's finished.

that's cool Jaeger.

I've been fooling around with a few Lego Star Wars and Toy Story Green Army Men figures and an old Britains matchstick firing cannon this week in a version of HG Wells "Little Wars" kind of game. It seems to work well and is a real laugh but with only 4 figs a side it's over pretty quickly! - A trip to the Toy Shop tomorrow beckons!

For those interested;
I'm using "shells" cut from wooden BBQ skewers - 1/2" for pistol weapons, 1" for rifle weapons and 1 1/2" for support weapons. I've found that a figure may well survive a "pistol" hit but that those hit by a "rifle" are going down! Figures are unbased - standing on their own two feet as it were and move a hand span per turn. Hand to hand is done by playing "paper, scissors, stone - loser is killed.
I'm using a bare wooden table for the battlefield at the moment to try the idea out but I think a covering of clip together laminate flooring would work well with wooden chopping boards for hills and Lego or wooden bricks for the rest of the scenics.

As for pricing - pretty good compared to GW, 4 Rebel troopers plus a light vehicle for £10 - say £2 each ready "painted". GW High Elf Pheonix Guard 10 for £25 - £2.50 each which you still need to assemble and paint.

The future is bright - it's LEGO!

I'm 44 and still playing with my toys!

"You don't stop playing when you get old - you get old when you stop playing"

not sure where that quote is from but I think it's very true.

Well...they're not Legos, but here's a link to Mordheim with Play Mobile:  http://www.e-phil.net/playmobil/mordheim09/index.html . Pretty cool stuff, eh?!
