Aginclank Updated 4/20/11 Grognards!
« on: 23 December 2010, 06:19:35 AM »
Starting a pair of game projects for a convention in May. The VSF game is to be a revisiting of Agincourt.
The first piece to be near completion is a refit of one of my existing tanks for the English command.

The King:

Henry here still needs a bit of work but he is 90% finished. I'm not entirely happy with the emblemage and will probably redo it.

Uncle Exeter is next and then perhaps some of the French knights may make an appearance.

Thanks for looking. More soon.

Very cool of course Looking forward to the full effect.  What time slot do you plan to put on the game?

But... but... surely, Aginclank (Aginclanque?) is a battle where the beautifully-painted French armour races across a muddy field into the path of the English guns and is blasted to bits?

But it's a lovely tank anyway! The smokestack is awesome, and I love the semaphore-machine on the back. The King looks splendid too.

If he's really the King, he should probably be flying the Royal Standard rather than the Cross of St George. wiki on the Royal Standard(s) of the United Kingdom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Standard_%28United_Kingdom%29 - also has some nice info at the bottom about standards of other members of the Royal Family that may prove useful.

That is a FINE LOOKING model...VERY WELL DONE!
Do you think you could post some photos from a few more angles...a rear shot would be nice?

Perhaps the Standard as a banner furled behind the beast; I'm assuming that would only be while he's in the tank, and not if it's running without him, however it's modeled.

Fair enough? Could he have St. George on the tank proper?

Thanks very much everyone.

It is, indeed, a West Wind WW2 tank heavily modified. I will try and get more pictures up when I post pics of Exeter and his tank Harfleur later this week.

My plan is to have St George's on all the British tanks with each flying a flag with its commander's arms.

Wouldn't Henry have worn/borne the three lions of England quartered with France ancien?  The red and blue field with lions and fleur-de-lys would be splendid.
