Out now: German Walker Compendium III: Thor and Donner
« on: December 23, 2010, 02:13:33 PM »
The German Walker Compendium III: Thor and Donner is your comprehensive guide to using the German Thor superscience walker in Battlefield Evolution World at War: Gear Krieg.

The German Walker Compendium III: Thor takes a detailed look at the many types of this superscience walker for your German forces from all theatres and periods of World War II! Each vehicle is detailed with background information, factory variants, field modifications and a modelling guide.

Included are 13 Thor variants; Ausführung E to L, the “Flak-Donner”, Ausführung E2, F2 and X and even the rare Panzerbefehlskämpfer III and PzKpf IX “Jäger” prototype are covered; the book also provides new Traits, an AFV force list and an extended German armoury to add to your games of World at War: Gear Krieg.
All units in this book are designed by the same principles as the existing vehicles in the Battlefield Evolution: World at War rulebook and Battlefield Evolution: Pacific War Supplement also written by Agis Neugebauer.

You will get in fact 2 books with this deal:
a full colour version with many high quality pictures of fully painted models
in addition a B&W text only printer friendly version.
This book requires the use of Battlefield Evolution: World at War, available from Mongoose Publishing.

You can download your copy at the Wargames Vault: http://www.wargamevault.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=2468&products_id=86961
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

After that I have to see...

Wasn't the Wotan (Odin) a design name that became the Jutan (Giant) ?

My only regret is that this is for a scale and game I dont play (I'm a 28mm WWW2 guy)

I'm still tempted to buy them just for the pics and the fluff anyway!
Such is the great job you are doing on these Agis - fantastic!  :-*

IIRC true, but I would like to get the Uller a more fitting name. And since the Thor/ Donner name is established, Odin / Uller would make sense.

All true, but each scale has its virtues. I am getting more and more fond of 15mm.
Just check the "What you need to play Gear Krieg? Can I get a sample army list?" answer in the GK FAQ:

It is very cheap to get into it...

I was reading up a bit on Uller last night, and in some versions, it seems like he's the As in charge of Asgard when Odin is away.

Unfortunately Agis it's nearly impossible to get in the UK and with shipping costs, import tax and the time delay in getting the things here I can probably say with confidence that I'm not the only UK gamer who thinks Gear Krieg is really cool but will pass it over for something more accessible.

Love your work though!

Same is true for Germany.
For me it was always easy, I have no problems with customs or a slight delay, as long as the models arrive.

In Germany you can avoid the customs by ordering the items in small "chunks". You only have to pay customs/taxes if the imported item is beyond a certain amount.

By I can absolutely understand the point, it is definitely more convenient to walk into a store or do local mail order...
