Thanks Dr. The Viking!

As for rules, are you referring to my human army list? The undead list was kindly provided by Mantic already! For the human list I really followed the elf/dwarf/undead lists closely, making sure that I kept the points powers very similar, but tweaking them a bit. Then did some playtesting and updated them accordingly... That's about it.

Thanks
n.

Ah I thought as much. I'd really like to try out these rules but lo... none of the regulars are the least bit interested.

Hope you'll deliver us pics of a battle at some point though

I will have battle pics soon enough! I just need to make the time to get around to writing some reports up :)

So, despite my lack of posts over the past week, I have been hard at work! I planned to have only a single unit/regiment of zombies done for the past two weeks, but it turns out that I got two whole regiments and the last of the characters done for the project! That puts me a week ahead of schedule!

Week Seven - First Zombie Regiment
Week Eight - Second Zombie Regiment

Here are some quick pics of the zombie regiments:

Above the WIP unit base - it's ready to have painted figs attached and then basing!

Above is the pile of painted figs waiting to be attached to the unit base for the first regiment.

Above is the finished first zombie regiment.

Figs waiting for paint for the second zombie regiment.

Unit base waiting for paint/highlighting for the second zombie regiment.

Second zombie regiment complete!

The Fonz from Happy Days - Zombie version... I'm coming to get you Richie...

Some modeling fun on the second regiment base.

Some more modelling fun on the first regiment base.

The two regiments side-by-side to make up a single horde unit!

The last of the characters - This one is a Lich King!

See all the detailed pictures in my Undead Army Gallery on my site! Next up, some Mantic skeletons to make up a regiment!
Thanks

Gorgeous unit!

How many levels do you use for each colour when painting a unit like this?

Dark, medium and light? Or less? Or more? Tell us how!  lol

Thanks Dr. The Viking!

The number of levels really depends on the colour. For the purple on the character there I used a base colour and three highlights... So four colours all together. For the ivory bone, I use the base and two highlights. For the gray skin I used the base and three highlights, but for the gray clothes, which started as the same colour as the gray skin, I used the base colour and only two highlights... So, for the most part it's the base colour and either two or three highlights. For the pumpkins I use the base colour, and four highlights, because those go from dark red to orange to yellow...

Hope that helps!

Your stuff is so original (and well painted of course!). Your zombie regiments are more like zombie hordes! There is so much going on with your bases, they are like little dioramas.

Great stuff!

Lovely project and theme, just a gaming question, how do you show reduction in unit numbers if all the minis are attached to one unit base?

Looking forward to seeing what's next.

Thanks Damien! Glad you could take something away from my rambling Dr. The Viking!

Thanks CV. In Kings of War there is no need to show unit reduction. It is a unit-based game, not figure based, so the units fight and dies in units. Casualties are allocated to the unit though, and that casualty number helps decide whether the unit sticks around or routes off the field! There are a number of ways to mark these casualties. Some use skull counters or dead figures. I had a plan to use counter-casualty-bases like the one below that I made for my human army:

You can see the number '4' in the left-hand image there. The figure spins, revealing numbers from 0-20; Twenty casualties is far more than you're likely to live with...

Thanks again guys,
n.

They don't make an emoticon to describe what I feel. This stuff is awesome. I always wanted to do a Halloween themed army with pumpkins and whatnot. Incredible work.

Thanks a lot guys, I greatly appreciate the kind words! After working on this project for so long, they are a great motivator!

Finally I got to the Mantic figures I'm using for this project! This time another regiment of Skeletons! Check out all of the pictures in the Undead Gallery, but see below for some peaks!

Next up are the Revenants!

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words guys! Appreciated!

I have finished the second last unit for this army project! A whopping 81 skeletons later (actually, it doesn't seem like all that many...) I have the final Revenant regiment ready to go! One more unit of ghouls and the army is completely done!

Here we have the two revenant regiments side-by-side. Left are Mantic figs, right are Grenadier and Reaper.

Thanks
