Micro Art Studio Brotherhood of Iron
« on: 11 January 2011, 05:13:52 PM »
I just bought one of their resin "angels" and it arrived in poor shape.  The resin needed A LOT of cleanup (which is to be expected, sometimes) and certain features were poorly molded or simply broken off (like hoses and hydraulics on the wings).

Has anyone else had such experiences with these minis?  The concept and art is absolutely fantastic!  Having an "Angle of Technology" at my desk in the office makes very good sense, too.  :)

Did I just get a bad instance of one?  Anyone else collect these guys?

Nice. Does that floating chair thingy remind anybody else of something they've seen before?

Did you go back to Micro Art and ask them for exchange castings?

Sebastian has always been helpful in the past.

I've got a few of their Ad MEch range and the quality was fine on my ones.

So that bad resin is uncommon for them?  Okay, good to know.

I can "survive" with what I have and, if the quality is generally good, then I'll keep looking into them.

On another note, that Reaper floating fat guy really reminds me of Baron Harkonnen.  I don't understand the poetry reference, though.

Yes I ordered a set of these and they were complete crap... air bubbles over the entire castings, detail obscured, areas entirely covered with the area where the resin was poured.  I will never purchase another item from them again...

They would require so much work to make them usable that they will never be used for anything...

I sent an email complaining about my order and never heard back from them.  Also took forever to get my order in the first place.  They are in Poland I believe...

I own one of the tank-man hybrids and the quality was excellent with hardly any flash.

Have to agree, one of the tank tracked admech and two brotherhood and the casts were ok.

Very strange.
