Don't feel bad about that, Wesfalia. I think this is a typical example of how miniatures are not just judged by the quality of the painting. I for one thought both were excellent but I have no deeper knowledge of the world of Robert E. Howard (apart from the Tarzan/Johnny Weizmuller flicks I saw as a kid. Weird War seems to have a broader appeal in this forum.

Edit: I just figured out that Tarzan is a Rice Burroughs creation, go figure. So it sort of proves my point.

That´s the ugly part of Teutonic Efficiency. We´re always bitching like hell when we lose a competition to a better-skilled person. Especially the modellers. Be happy you didn´t have to read the comments on the Golden Demon competitions of the last years - the distilled hatred dripping at the French who DARE to travel ~1000km to win those butt-ugly trophies is a most disgusting thing. Not that they actually took into account that the German painters´ entries were pretty crappy compared to the Frenchies´.

I would have LOVED to read those. I am a very petty man myself and I always seek to improve myself in that department by learning from the masters.
