I've been watching the Clone Wars tv show lately, and loved that the Cad Bane character was apparently meant to be the Star Wars version of Lee Van Cleef from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. It got me thinking - we should see the other two.
I did a few sketches, and liked the idea of a Snivian for the Eli Wallach character.

I had an extra Snivian something-or-other (red suit), and figured I'd use it to try and make this fella. I cut the arm off and repositioned it so that it's facing forward, and took another arm from a Rodian Trader, I think. The brim of the hat is card stock, the crown a short-cut top from a Faber Castell PITT pen, and puff paint for the spikes/buttons. The holsters are balsa wood, and all the buttons/snaps/whatever around him are puff paint, painted silver afterwards.

I also gave him that little moustache, because I felt like it was in keeping with the spirit of the way the Clone Wars cartoon has been reimagining the way the alien species look. Making his outfit all black just felt right, too, like a villain in a 1950s western.
My miniature painting is not stellar, but I think it jives enough with the out-of-the-box figures to be passable.
