Flips Future Wars Project
« on: January 21, 2011, 06:27:21 PM »
It occured to me that over the last few years buying random odd mini's Ive actually aquired some gangs, so Ive decided to paint them up, or in the case of already being painted, gather them up. My overall aim is to have a number of diffrent themed gangs all battling it out for control of the streets of NewPort City.

Mistress Libby's Domme Gang

Led by thier leader Mistress Libby, these followers of the outlawed lifestyle of BDSM have become a well armed militia, taking control of the former red light district in the city. They are well feared by the populance for they are well known as kidnappers and controling the people trafficking black market out of the city.

A mix of Hasslefree, Black Scorpion and Foundry, I have another 15 miniatures to add to thins gang, oh joy...

Thanks, as for rules and gaming, I doubt any of these will see a table top as I dont go to any gaming groups and none of my family or friends are into gaming at all.

The NewPort City Police Department

The thin blue line, the only thing keeping the average citizens of NewPort safe and under control, after all, without thier constant vigilance and zero tolerance for any kind of deviation, thier world would be plunged into chaos. It can only be prevented with political correctness, health and safety, and lots of big guns!
However due to the rising number of heavily armed gangs, many with explosives, the NPCPD has been issued with heavily armed Hard Suits by Genom Inc, though due to budget restraints, in limited numbers.

Brilliant! The police look fantastic - the colour scheme really unfies all the different ranges that the models come from. Very cool. Like you, I've been noticing recently that I have a lot of modern/near future models that need to get used (i.e. painted), and this is a great way to do that. Looking forward to more! Oh, and are there any vehicles on the horizon?

Thank you, as for vehicles...you never know, though I would love to get my hands on some of those PVC Bonaparte (from Tank Police) tanks that came out in 2005.

The police force is very nice, I especially like the power suits. Some of the models seem a bit small compared to the Copplestone models though.

Very nice. I like mixing manufacturers my self. I have a gang similar to the first one I use as zombie survivors. I call them my Sin City Irregulars.

The problem with Copplestone is cast bases, I dont bother filing them down, just glue them to the base. As long as proportions are right Im not a stickler for size, Im kinda on the short size in real life, so a litle size variance is ok.
