WW2 Polish snipers and Anti Tank rifles 30/1
« on: 24 January 2011, 06:28:14 PM »
Received my Warlord Games order containing all the new Polish stuff - been waiting for this day since they were announced back in June/July last year! Was well worth the wait and my Polish platoon finally got some serious fire support beside the heavy machineguns and mortar that I already had. More pictures of the entire at WIP stage and more pictures of the sniper on my blog:

The quality of the new models is very crisp, perhaps a tad better than the already good looking Polish stuff from before. The metal was super hard (I tried bending the arm of one model in vain), but was easy to trim. I thought that the spotter with the binoculars was the old HMG team spotter - but this guy is all new as well, even has a moustache. I really love that some of the models come with the Rogatywka field cap!

With this unique unit you will certainly stop a panzer unit in their tracks.

Lovely work Anatoli.

Champion. I'm digging the woodwork. It's a small thing that would be easy to miss, but it is very well done.

A captured MG-42 during the invasion of Poland? Not unless you can travel in time.
Other then that, really nice execution, love the prone guys. :o

@wayswatcher

I use all my Polish models for Weird-WW2 gaming (Secrets of the third Reich:1949), mixing early and latewar stuff. Like early war Polish tankettes and British Cromwell tanks painted in 1993 Polish vehicle camo. Reason I posted then in the WW2 section is , obviously, that the models are more WW2 than Weird-WW2  :)

I have one identical couple left, but the second kneeling guy is holding a bazooka.

Those Snipers are visually stunning!  :-* Excellent work there, really big fan of them. The basing is superb as well, very realistic.
