shattered woods terrain piece
« on: January 30, 2011, 12:38:47 PM »
I've just completed a terrain mini project to come up with some classic shattered trees to use as terrain pieces. I posted a full range of pics in my workbench thread but was rather happy with how they turned out and so thought I'd just pop one here too.

any comments and suggestions appreciated as always!

lovely job on this wood, i really love it!

i think you should work a bit more on the ground: it is really quick painted, if you give him a bit more of depht ,and maybe add some foliage (brown and dry of  course) all around you can acieve a WONDERFUL level of detail! ^^

can i have a closeup of the barbed whire too?

Looking good! Can we seem some shots from further back, showing the whole piece so we can get a better sense of the scale?

agreed...the whole project for all four pieces took me about 6 hours so it was a very quick one indeed. I think a little foliage would certainly add to it. The wire is only attached to the figures bases and is real barbed wire!

Looking good! Can we seem some shots from further back, showing the whole piece so we can get a better sense of the scale?

Thanks. If you have a look in the workbench section I just posted a number of each terrain piece. I didn't want to bore people with a double post!
