I am plodding along with the bases & basing. At the end of yesterday, I had three bases occupied & the rest in prep mode:

Closer looks at the occupied bases:

More today...perhaps.

With the exception of a couple of stray Mushrooms, all the latest ones are now based & primed ready for some color:

Until whenever.

I admire how you achieved the eyes of the Admirers! You gave them the right expression!
Most of all, I like the guy on the girl's base, he looks so proud being next to the Princess!

Thank you for another morale boosting reply, Dinos. I am delighted you like them.
The Guy in question does look love struck...AND she is right next to me(him).

Looking good! I think the mushrooms with arms are likely to be her bodyguards? Gotta keep the rabble at arm's length!

Thanks for the reply, Brett I am happy you like them.
I hadn't really thought about roles for the Gang, but the body guard idea sounds plausible.

The Camera of Continual Contrariness has finally died...worn out after nearly 11,000 photos.
I have a new Nikon 600 ordered from Nikon. God only knows when it will get here. SO for awhile there will be no new photos.
I will still let you know how things are progressing...I suppose.

Maybe when your new camera is here, Madam Mushroom and her Court will be finished and ready to photograph, eh?  :D

The way things are going, that is a distinct possibility.
Thanks for the reply, Bret!

The timing of the Camera's demise was unfortunate; i.e., there are no Nikon's available for immediate pick up at the usual stores.
I am working on one of the Devils Cups AND already I am itching to take a photo or two.
Thanks for the reply, Dinos. The ongoing support is appreciated.

While buying a new camera no doubt pinches the wallet, I'm just happy it's nothing more than a fixable mechanical failure.

Eager to see the new pics when they do show up - perhaps the new camera will be slightly less contrary!

I started saving my pennies when I first bought the Camera of Continual Contrariness II a few years ago. SO I am prepared for the out flow of bucks. Not having a replacement in stock was a downer.

I actually fixed the contrariness. I just show the camera all the lovely new batteries I have bought her & she seems happy to take good pics. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for some photos of the stuff.

There is always your cell phone while you wait. Probably good enough for the in progress shots anyway.

I promised not to get another camera until the current one broke. My DSC-1H is 16 years old and still works perfectly.  Granted my new cell phone has higher resolution but for macro shots of miniatures it's still good enough for my level of painting.
