Nice.

Armorcast have some fun stuff. I have my eye on the "mootant cow". Have you seen it?

I hadn't seen the cow until you mentioned it. That is pretty strange...something I'll have to consider. Thanks for the lead.

Am I alone in thinking "STOP! No more paint!"? The tree and surrounds look wonderfully spooky in black and white.

If not this board, perhaps another just in grey-scale with monochromatic denizens? The thought of moving my brightly painted character through those surrounds would give me the heebie-geebies.

Cheers!

I just love that sinister little city scape. I wonder who's going to live there!  :)

I keep repeating myself but it's simply awesome, again. My favorite is the big tree and I might take your offer on explaining the building a little bit when I'm ready to have a go myself  :).

Thanks for the reply & advice, Joe. The Technicolor Adventurers wandering through a Monochromatic World is a WONDERFULLY SPOOKY idea. It is something I'd like to explore. The atmospheric touch would be FANTASTIC!

As it stands now, the Goblin Village is a fine spot for photographs. The black & white background seems to appeal to The Camera.

I just love that sinister little city scape. I wonder who's going to live there!  :)

Thanks for the reply, Schrumpfkopf. The original idea was the Dark Hold Goblins, although some of the Stone Haven stuff would work as well. Of course, I'm always open to suggestions; re, being on a creative forum can be a GREAT source of ideas & inspiration.

Thanks for the kind reply, Duncan. Feel free to repeat yourself...motivating replies are always appreciated.

I seldom post here but I'm a long time lurker. Your creativity and dedication is very inspiring.

I'd love to know how you've made the texture of the tree bark, it looks very interesting.

Keep the good work coming!

SO, with all the monochromatic talk, I decided to make a couple of mono/gray scale pieces. The first will be a cavern piece. While it would work nicely with Heep's Place or possibly an extension of Rapunzel's board, it will undoubtedly get the most service as a photo stage.

I'm in the carving/gluing stage right now:

It's clicking right along as quickly as my putter & tweak approach to terrain building can go...there's already anther piece atop the back wall. I'm hoping the Goblins I have underway will finish about the same time as Grayscale Cavern.

AND a second update:

The next step will be detailing & painting. I have visions of further photo stages whirling through my mind...like sugar plums on speed.

Thanks, Hobgoblin. I'm glad you like it. I think it has potential...it may be the new home of my strange stalagmites.

Lovely pieces. The teeth are great, what medium did you ise for them (teeth and the whole piece)?

Lovely pieces. The teeth are great, what medium did you use for them (teeth and the whole piece)?

Thanks, von Lucky! I made the conical core with plumber's epoxy putty (similar to Milliput) with a skewer/heavy tooth pick stuck through the center. I mounted beads for eyes & round toothpicks for fangs. Then I did the rock surface in green stuff. I think I may make a couple more; when I do, I'll take some W.I.P. photos.

Wowee zowie super keen  :D

Thanks, Fram! Glad you like it.
