DeafNala, those pumpkinhead swashbucklers are a great idea to be shamelessly stolen to inspire the shape of dreams to come, really stuff of legends!  ;)

DeafNala, I am honored!

I assure you my pumpkinbucklers will always fight with honor (and just a little bit of treachery sometimes) and only for noble causes (the rescue of gorgeous half naked princesses, for example)!  ;)

...there is nothing more noble than rescuing half naked Princesses...& rectifying their condition...one way or another.

The painting you've done on those two is really crisp and clear and well-shaded. Some of your best work, on a technical level, I think!

...practice, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! Well I'm still not ready for Carnegie Hall, but thanks for the kind words, Fram. The morale boost is appreciated, especially considering the source.

And as part of my denial (a River in Egypt) of Cruel Reality, I was motivated to finish the Rider part of the competed Thunder Chicken:

...AND now he's now mounted...the base was finished two years ago. It has been the possible resting place for a variety of Mini Folk. The Thunder Chicken takes the base:

...with a peek at the Flora:

...there you have it...years in the making...sort of.

Wonderful stuff! The bird is brilliant, and the rider just the right shade of disgruntlement. And those colours! Really super piece - and an altogether more welcoming reality!

Looks wonderful DeafNala!

Not sure I'd be able to ride so fearlessly when an evil eyed nature is watching your every move.

Cheers
Matt

Thanks for the reply, Matt. I can see where the dismount could be problematic...& not just because of the Chickens evil disposition.
