Thanks for yet another reply, dino. I am glad you like it. It isn't that hard to do, just a tad on the tedious side.

Thanks for the reply, von Lucky. When the Woods flipped to a new page, I was afraid no one would notice Maude. I am delighted you like the Girl.
I'll keep the song playing as long as I am here. If that saw about lasting until the last mini is done is true, I have about forty or so years left.

...tomorrow. The background trees are primed & ready for some paint. Detailing is a probable...it's my getting-carried-away-with-things nature.

...with the foreground trees:

...I'm thinking of doing the sunken brick road in yellow. More later..."later" being a nebulous concept.

A yellow road would match your existing roads, I think?

Also I can hear Maude's cackling as she flies.

Thanks for the reply, Fram. Most of my paved roads are a mix of slate blue & terra cotta. I was thinking "follow the Yellow Brick Road".

Great progress, sir!

Thanks, Paul. I may be building up a head of steam.
I wish it was my idea, but L. Frank Baum beat me to it. I was just looking at the sunken bricks as I painted the earth colors & there was a chorus of Munchkins piping away on that song: follow, follow, follow the the Yellow Brick Road.

Thanks, dino. I am glad you like it. You'll get a better view below.

Thanks, Fram. I am delighted you like it. I thought it was pretty decent, but a vote of confidence is most welcome.

...later the same day. I finished the highlights, did the road, & went nuts with the photos:

Tomorrow should see the flora, details, & done...or not.

...with the foreground pieces removed there is more room for miniatures & some different angle are possible:

...FINALLY two Brave Goblins volunteered to be The First Folk photographed in The Woods.
They are Bwana Bateye & his Loyal Henchperson, Beastly Burden:

...there now, that wasn't so bad was it? I do hope you enjoyed the trip.

Always always amazing, and always a thread to go to for a pick me up after not getting to do anything other than work!

Fantastic.
