This whole thread is pure magic. Innovative, yet having cultural roots in traditional fairy tale iconography. I liked particularly the wicked houses with their dream like and oversized faces. They remind me of Del Shannon's musical piece Runaway and the good old The Wizard of Oz movie. All I can say is: well done, mister!

Have you by any chance considered a career in illustrating children's books, or making props for animations and amusement parks?

Thanks for the kind reply, Nordic. I am delighted you enjoy the stuff. Faerie Tales lend themselves wonderfully for innovation.
I may be too old to launch a career of any type, but I often dreamed of making my living with my art...it's rough starving to death in ones dreams.

The dark shade is Americana Red Violet. Unfortunately they no longer make that shade; SO I have been trying to match it up.
Americana dioxazine purple mixed with cranberry wine come close. I also tried the purple with alazarin crimson; that was slightly lighter
& a bit brighter.
