Is all looking so great and cohesive now, I'd love to see a big group shot at this stage.

Seconded!

It IS all looking so good that a group shot would be well timed!

Well that seems to be a pretty reasonable request...I'll agree to it anyway.
As with minis, a Group Portrait is occasionally request/advisable. SO without further delay or explanation:

There you go. If you're moved to do so, you commentary would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks for the enthusiastic response; you've amped my motivation immeasurably.
This isn't the final set up, but it gives you & I an idea how everything will fit together. One possibility is the "long & winding road" plan; i.e., a series of boards maybe 16" or 18" deep & very long to represent a trading trail through the eerie terrain with a few wider boards as destinations...things like a village, inn, etc..

Utterly fantastic!!!

great attention to detail, and all the pieces fit together really well. Looks like an incredibly twisted Wizard of Oz style forest, I can totally see a yellow brick road winding through this.

I know I shall do my best to copy your efforts...
WHAT do you mean I lost!!! I had MORE fun!

Now THAT would be a great idea! :o

A twisted, SPOOKY walk in the woods, leading from one wonderful scene to another.
Genius!

Thanks once more for all the positive feedback.
On the ultimate setting, I've been thinking of a lone narrow series of boards liking areas of interest like The Stoned Hedge, the Witches' Digs, etc. or perhaps a series of islets connected by narrow bridges that would work with the water board...this could also lead to a Bog of Eternal Stench style setting.

Thanks, dijit! My Amigo, Edwin, also posted that Oh-So-Cool video over on the Death squad Forum. Now I've got Fuzzy Goblin ideas whirling through my cluttered Old Mind...it helps rid the place of all those cobwebs.

Interestingly enough I've been long contemplating building a labyrinth style gaming board, though more in the style of the goblin city.

I LOVE the Goblin City. I just got a couple of stills of the place: so who knows where that will lead.
