Thanks, Anatoli! I value Mord's comments simply because I know that's what he actually thinks...of course he's a jerk.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

I figured I do up a couple more of the Mushrooms for Heep's Place...I may have gotten carried away. Looking at them all grouped up, they looked pretty sinister...SO I thought you'd get a kick out of the Mushroom Mob from HELL!:

You know, if you cast those in chocolate, you'd make a fortune in the novelty sweets line!

Wow, I just took a few quick looks through your stuff, and that forest is downright scary, in a good way.  I could imagine it giving kids a few nightmares!  lol

It screams of character, and I can tell lots of insight has gone into it.

Now, I will try and review the whole of your long, long thread later, but for us newcomers could you give us a quick rundown of the background storyline for Heep's place? (Or perhaps a link to the explanation that has since been lost in this thread)

Thanks MUCHO for taking the time to comment, Guys...it is appreciated!

The storyline is developing, but you got me thinking about how I will tie all this stuff together, & I think I may have come up with something cool...we see as thing develop. That aside, Compo Heep is the (in)famous owner, founder, & main source of labor for Heep's Bat poop Mine & Mushroom Distillery. Here's himself:

He's an Armor Cast mini from Ginfritter's Gnomish Workshop.

More lovliness, yet again, DeafNala!
 :-*

Not too sure if I would be trying Heep's Lager, though!

Oh!, and could you please give us Flo's definition of a good time?!?
 lol

Thanks for the kind commentary, Mason.
Passing up Heep's Finest is probably a wise move; there's some debate as to whether or not all the bat byproducts find there way to providing nutrients for the mushrooms.
Dear Flo may not supply the "fun" herself these days; that task has fallen to her numerous, enthusiastic nieces...there are some photos of the Lasses floating around the thread somewhere.

Here's the latest developments at Heep's Place:

The way up to the soon-to-be-built Tavern on the Rock:

An overview of the piece:

As always, comments, critiques, & envelopes filled with small, unmarked bills would be GREATLY appreciated.

It is looking great, DeafNala!

There is nothing quite like seeing a wip and trying to second guess what it will eventually look like.

Given that it you that I am trying to second guess here, I think my chances of being right are seriously slim!

Looking forward to the next update.....

You are really creating something unique here Deafnala! It's a pleasure to look at your works. It's not so easy to offer you useful suggests, it seems that your creativity needs no suggests at all!  :o
Keep going mate!

Thanks MUCHO for your kind commentary, Guys. It's humbling...humility is a personal trait I'm most proud of.

Given that it you that I am trying to second guess here, I think my chances of being right are seriously slim!
It's not so easy to offer you useful suggests, it seems that your creativity needs no suggests at all!  :o

I draw heavily for inspiration from things I see posted here...especially the WONDERFUL things you two & phreedh post; SO you may all take credit for the better aspects of The Project...I'm not sure if this is a positive, but it was meant that way.

Was about to type DaftNala :)

I like that...it probably is a more apt description than my actual Nom de Forum.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT, between struggling (& procrastinating) about writing an article for Matakashi's Tea House (being asked to contribute to his WONDROUS site is rather like being asked to put on a show at M.o.M.A.: Metropolitan Museum of Art) & working on The Project, I've signed up for the Prisoner Exchange on Mordheimer's Death Squad. This entails painting a piece of 40Kish style to be shipped to another participant...& receiving one in the process.
I'm using this to work on some ideas I have for Heep's Tavern. SO here are some W.I.P. photos of the Beasty:

The Overview:

Some closeups:

The idea is to portray a Renegade leaving his favorite drinking establishment, Morbid Jest's Inn. Paraphrasing the Whiffenpoof Song, I'm calling the piece "To The Tables Down At Morbid"s".

As always Comments & Critiques would be most welcome...mostly.
