Those red "faces" are a really great idea.  :)

Thanks, Fram! I'm not sure whether that is an original idea or not, but it works. In actuality the red has more of a glow than in the photos.

These Minis really fit the terrain! Both class :D

Are there also good guys, or is your world overwhelmed by villains?  ;D

Thanks, LordOdo. I'm glad you are enjoying the project. I have a number of other minis to show wandering around the place.

Are there also good guys, or is your world overwhelmed by villains?  ;D

Funny thing is I have thought of the folk for the various boards in terms of good & bad until now. There will be some that fit more into the good description & some that are definitely of an evil nature...it's all a matter of perspective.

I can sympathise with DeafNala on this one. Whenever I sit down to paint a "Good" miniature like an elf or something I look at my leadpile and pick up a skeleton or goblin instead.  :D
I'm a nice guy in real life but I really love "bad guys" in gaming.

I blame it partially on AD&D; i.e., from those campaigns I D.Med, I developed a certain empathy for the unfortunate monsters that had the misfortune of having something the Adventurers wanted/needed/coveted,; partially on a more forgiving outlook on things that old age brings, but mostly on George Bush.

Awesome photos! Looks like you showed that camera of contrariness who's the boss!

I would like to say that the second photo was the result of much thought & planning, but that would be a falsehood of monumental proportions. Like most of my better photos, it was purely accidental.

Several happy accidents in this batch!

Those shades are so fitting for the graveyard board. They seem very substantial and threatening, like all the rest of the creeping undead you have strolling through your creations so far.

I can't wait to see more stories, especially some with smoldering pigeons!

As the dark clouds pass across the face of the leering Moon, Shadowy figures flicker in & out of sight, mere figments of the imagination...or perhaps not.

...Yes!

I can already see the possibilities for all the terrain boards & painted minis. Your comments on them would be most welcome...mostly.
they remind me of the green ghosts on scooby doo only more deadly looking
and dear god what is the fungus dudes malfunction...creepy.  :) :) :)

Thanks for the reply, Gun bunny! Most all my stuff has a cartoon feel to it. I usually claim this is intended; HOWEVER, I have become convinced that doing anything serious is totally beyond me. BUGS BUNNY FOREVER!

ps- The cold iron on the shades came out spiffy! Does it softly shine like in the photos, or is that your light source?

Thanks again, Jevenkah! The iron does look that way in person...another serendipitous accident.

After several pages of other things, I'm happy (relieved) to say Mungo Hammertoe, Bob the Blue Ox, & Spook the Talking Wonder Skull are FINALLY done. AND here are some TRULY AWFUL Photos of the Terrible Trio:

From a distance:

...Spook the Talking Wonder Skull (he started out as a silly looking skull that I couldn't figure out how to make into something serious; SO I made him sillier)...the mushroom doesn't look all that thrilled with the proximity of the Trio:

AND some close ups:

Hopefully over the next few days I'll get some better photos on one of the terrain boards for something artsy. Until then your comments would be welcome...for the most part.
