A Fascinating fairy style as always  :D
I see you painted the cleric woman from Reapers too ;)
Are you considering to play some solo skirmish if you could not play with another player?
I know that Pulp Alley (for example) have this option. In fact I'm excited to the idea of try some solo play too (pulp, but maybe fantasy or sci fi too)  :-*

Monumental undertakings can be fun. I think the boards you've already finished count as a monumental accomplishment. You've already proven you're up to the task.

When most of what I was working on was commission pieces, monumental translated as overwhelming...there were some drudgery connotations to the beasty as well. The Project is a liberating thing that has me convinced that just about anything is possible; of course this may be a form of idiocy. That aside, time is my only limitation.

Thanks, Katsuhiko! Reaper is one of my favorite mini makers; re, they have such a diverse range. I'm starting to reduce the backlog of minis; the cute Cleric is one that finally received some attention.
The Faerie & Fairy Tale story lines appeal to me...they're actually quite gruesome when you get down to it. A combination of surreal & comic fits my style.
As to the solo gaming, I might get back into it as a story telling device. Chronicling the games was once an enjoyable pursuit that I'd like to revisit.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

A piece of the Darkness detaches itself & moves silently past Heep's Mushrooms & toward the cave's moonlight entrance.

This is Reaper's version of the (02886) Dark Creeper from the AD&D fiend Folio.
As always your kind comments would be appreciated.

Thanks, Mick; I'm glad you like them. This Little Guy has me thinking about what I may do with ALL THOSE Night Goblins that are clamoring for attention.

Charismatic miniature and paintjob as usual  :D
This miniature reminds me about a villain from the really old "Chobin the Star Child" japanese cartoon  ;)

This fella's creepin' around! Love what you did with him... you can almost hear the internal dialogue "Creep creep creep! I am such a GOOD assassin! No one will observe one so CUNNING as I!"

lol

Thanks, Katsuhiko. There is a resemblance there.

Thanks, Fram. This is one of those minis that I had to do. It took me awhile to get him ordered, but he's a really nice mini to paint.
As he passes the Mushrooms, one says tho the other: "Now it is not every night, you see a Piece of Darkness glide by."

He is brilliant, mate.

Thanks Mason. The Brian's Mum comparison got a hardy laugh...WELL DONE!

Lovely assassin. Really like the green blade. :D

Thanks, Diakon. I don't often go for the "poisoned blade" look; I'm glad you approve.

Love to see your storytelling and character shots! Is that blood on the creeper's hand?

You seem to have found a lighting solution that works for you and that little guy is not an easy subject for your camera. Did you give her new batteries AND a lens buffing?  ;)

I grew up with a grandfather enamored of Mel Brooks. I still actually own my grandfather's VHS of Young Frankenstein. I was too young to get most of the jokes, but that never stopped me from laughing out load with Grandpa while we watched his movies.

@ Mason: One of the strangest days of my teenaged-life was sneaking a showing of Life of Brian at my house after school, only to have my folks come home early. I was raised religious, and petrified. My dad took one look at the TV, then a deep breath, then shouted...to my mom "Honey come here, we haven't seen this in years!" Now it's one of my daughter's go-to movies when she needs a laugh.

Always waiting for more goodies from you,
Jevenkah

I didn't do any blood stains intentionally...gore is not my thing. The greenish Asian (I love technical jargon) is meant to give a poisoned blade effect.

This by the way is the "Now it's not every night you see a Piece of Darkness glide by." photo...I didn't include it in the first set of photos

When all else fails a bit if bribery is the way to go. I can imagine The Camera making purring sounds...I imagine a lot of strange things. The lighting is always a hit & miss thing. I usually wind up with a spread of too light to too dark images. With some things, like the Creeper, slightly too dark works best.

I think I've committed most of Mel's movies to memory...it comes in handy when the closed captioning is shot.

Always waiting for more goodies from you,
Jevenkah.

I'll try not to keep you waiting too long.
