I suspect this project will go on as long as you do, Nala - there's just too much material for you to ever run out.  :D

Thanks for the reply, leonmllett. I would agree that going through the entire thread would be a really daunting prospect. I never imagined it would get SO long.
As to the "Last Hurrah" part, I figure I have one good project left in me...considering my age & general health. SO I'm dedicating what I have left to those aspects of Fantasy, Horror, & Cartoons that I have come to love. This is my Swan Song of sorts...although not in a morbid way.

Hopefully even if this project is concluded, you will still have a little hobby project in you. :)

The Project just keeps adding things to be done to itself...it's a never ending story. AND this is what I do anyway; avoiding practical issues is my forte.

You are making all misty eyed DeafNala. There is more than one good Project left, this Thread is nothing short of inspiring and I want it to go on for the next Decades.

Its people like you that make younger Guys like me want to go on with their stuff and grow their Hobby beyond what the latest Rulebook shows me.

Often I find myself all tangled up in competitive Army List, the best Built, the cheesiest way to win....and then I come here ...and I REMEMBER and KNOW WHY I do what we do.

Thank you so much for 125 Pages of Joy,Fun, Shivers of Fear, Sympathy and Inspiration!

You're welcome, Theatralic...thanks for your support. I figure if I work steadily at The Project I might be able to wrap it up in another fifty years or so...you'll have to move closer so I can give you some of the stuff.
There's a lot to be said for hyper-competitive gaming, but I try to avoid that kind of language in my posts. Doing it for the love of the craft may sound corny, but it is much more fun.

Thanks, von Lucky! I'm afraid I've proven to be a bad influence on quite a number of Forum Folk...it's good being of use.

DeafNala, I told you earlier about Anton Pieck, who's art looks quite a lot like your amazing work, and just saw this post by a New Zealandish wargamer, and thought you might like it. (maybe even inspiration for another 'last' project ;) )

Anton Pieck is great! I have a wonderful anthology of Arabian Nights stories, all illustrated by Anton Pieck. It's fantastic!

They both sound like inspirational material. I can remember having a beautifully illustrated 1,001 Arabian Nights as a boy; I have no idea who the illustrator was, but it left an impression that has last all these years.

I have the first of the Man-Made pieces primed & ready for some painting. The top section of the soda can tower is an ArmorCast resin piece; all the rest is miscellaneous junk. SO here you go:

I'm not sure where I going from here, but that adds to the excitement. Be that as it may, your comments would be appreciated.

We're not sure where this is going and yet we're still here.

Nice build, the term "Mushroom Wars" just came to me. I think because i'm reading about the Football War right now.

Thanks, von Lucky!

Well with Dr. J's pieces, hopefully we'll see the last of them in a couple of weeks, but the ideas that have been stewing during the process should keep me busy with The Project for quite awhile...I've got about a dozen or so 1' squares prepped along with a bunch of 2's that are calling to moi.
