Across the way from Badherrdey's another rickety structure now looms in all it's W.I.P. glory:

It occurs to me that actually getting in to move figures around or play on this board might be a bit of a challenge once all the tenements are up!

That is what mine would look like if the 'Tidy-up Fairy' did not give me the 'Look of Doom'.... ;)

Thanks, Matt. Having spent long years in my efforts to achieve Crazy Old Manhood, it's good have it acknowledged.
With walkways, balconies, extensions, chimneys & such to be added, the imminent crash look will most probably become more apparent; it's a Slum Chic thing.

Amazing. Your workplace even looks like mine!

Chaos breeds creativity!

Thanks, Doc! It's that Great Minds/Kindred Spirit thing. I recently rearrange the place to allow for a greater degree of clutter...my productivity has increased accordingly.
Periodically, I'm moved to do a cleaning; I refer to this as "finding the floor". The discovery of cool stuff that I had forgotten about usually curtails any actual cleaning.

It occurs to me that actually getting in to move figures around or play on this board might be a bit of a challenge once all the tenements are up!

That could be a problem. I do try to test out access before gluing things down, but this board may require some extra care. The external, upper story walkways should allow for greater accessibility AND some daring do style swashbuckling at dizzying heights above the unforgiving streets.

That is what mine would look like if the 'Tidy-up Fairy' did not give me the 'Look of Doom'.... ;)

Cap'n John's Girl Friend, Doreen...cleaning's answer to Attila the Hun...does sometimes look wistfully into The Room, clutching her vacuum cleaner. She's quite a creative person herself, SO her own apartment makes my attempts at clutter look rather puny by comparison. I have sent at least one potential love interest screaming into the night with my views on a proper creative environment.

This is getting better and better. Will there be rickety rope bridges betweens the buildings?

Thanks, Bummie...glad you like it.
I had been planning on wood scaffolding style walkways, but, now that you mentioned it, the rope bridges sound appealing...GOOD IDEA!

The new building looks properly dizzying! Is it taller than the first?

The scroll and paintings are fantastic! Really top-notch idea and execution. They make such a great vignette in your picture from the library.

Keep it coming!

Thanks once more for the kind reply, Jevenkah. The Evil interior decorations were a lot of fun to do; this means there will be more of them springing up all over the place...Cap'n John has nixed the idea of letting me decorate The House however.

This one is a little over 21" tall; the one further down the street is 14 1/2 ". The rest of them should fall somewhere in that range with maybe one or two taller ones...Rapunzel's Tower is 26".

Looking forward to seeing how the new building develops. :)

One of the benefits of spontaneous builds is that I'm not all that sure how the beasty will turn out myself. SO I'm looking forward to the developments myself. Thus far I finished shingling the lower roof added a couple of windows, a hole in the wall, a couple of doors*, did a better fit for the upper roof, & started gluing down the shingles.

*There will be some balconies & I'm planning on adding a little landing platform & housing for an Owl Rider's Mount.

In keeping with the situation, a little Goblin Christmas Scene I did a few years ago seems appropriate:

It might be older, but it's first time I've seen that one! Wonderful repurposing of that gobbo!  :D

Thanks, Fram! G.W's older plastic Goblins are really cool little rogues, just the thing for conversions.
I let my friend John give the piece to his Choir Master at church...there's a certain resemblance.
