I always did wonder how your unique bright painting style would look on renaissance style figures and it's a very good match. Looking forward to the rest! :)

That B-B-Q set is wonderful!

The new crew is looking sweet as well! I love all the color in the stripes and patchwork on their uniforms. They look right at home!

Thanks for the kind reply, Jevenkah! I'll try to get some other photos of the old minis in Cap'n John's Imploding Display Case.

Thanks, W.K.; it is actually a relief knowing you aren't disappointed with the results. Renaissance is probably the best match for my vibrant/garish style...Napoleonics would be/was another suitable period. Here are a couple slightly better/clear photos.

Bloody hell, mate.
I have missed a few updates.
 :o

And what updates they were.
Those WK figures were just made for you.
A splendid job you have done on them, and that BBQ scene is brilliant!

Thanks MUCHO for the reply, Paul. I can't get over how many successful projects you have going at once. I'm glad you like the stuff!
White Knight's miniatures are a PURE JOY to paint. I'd recommend them HIGHLY to anyone who paints for the FUN of it all. I guess that comes across in the way they are coming along.
The BBQ is probably the oldest of the pieces that Cap'n John picked up from moi. It's cool that it still looks pretty good by today's standards.

Those latest photos are very nice and clear. You're getting better at squeezing results out of your camera!

Thanks, Fram. I think that The Camera has a problem with too many possible things to focus on when I put the minis on The Blight Board. photos of the Blight from a bit further back are fine, but the closeups are off.

I think your camera is jealous. The camera just wants to spend as much time with you as you spend with the brushes. That's why it acts up, while your brushes know they are the favorites. I mean, they must be happy to give you such great results.

I've never figured the twisted logic of the Various Cameras of Continual Contrariness...usually a couple fresh batteries is a sufficient bribe. At any rate, it's good to hear you like the results & took the time to sat so.

As threatened, I took a few photos of the now nearly completed Froggy Guy that I received from floedebolle. AND HERE'S FROOGY:

I will in all probability be cluttering him up with various paraphernalia, but for the most part the joint sculpt is now complete.

Later...it is my nature never to leave well enough alone. SO I figured that the bow needed loops to avoid the knotty look...

...& the abdominal armor looked plain; & there was that bottle of beads that I use for eyes sitting right next to him...

...AND now there's a face on the armor. The Devil made me do it.

The tongue just seemed SO Him...I'm glad you agree. Nuts Chic does demand vivid, garish, clashing colors, AND I'm just the Guy for the job.
Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply, hjorrafn...I like that description.
I'm looking forward to see him in GLORIOUS, garish color also. No matter how enjoyable the process is, the finished piece is what it is all about. Hopefully you & I won't be waiting all that long...hopefully.
