Character as always, those latest 2 additions to the "Hurray" project.
And, as always, I like them  :).

Thanks for the reply, Duncan. I'm glad you like the way things are coming along. Hopefully there will be more photos soon...hopefully.

AND conversely having character doesn't make you a character. I think I fit more in the being than having.

SO, now that The Pingo Tree has received some painting attention, you will ONCE MOREbe subjected to a myriad of truly mediocre photos. AND here, without further ado, they are:
From a distance:

...AND some random closeups:

...there you have it. All that remains is to add an inhabitant or two. In the interim, feel free to comment...or not.

Tremendous stuff! I love the shifty red eyes in the tree.

Love the Pingo Tree and new characters! The smokestack top is a great little detail.

Despite the down-under avian wildlife influence, to me the color and texture of your woods are evocative of our north-eastern US forests. That could be because I spend lots of time in said forests too.

Thanks for all the inspiration!

Oho, I hadn't noticed the tiny eyes in the tree knots before!

Lovely bright colours as always.

Thanks, Hobgoblin...The Tree only looks dead. Glad you like it.

Thanks, Jevenkah. The smoke stack ties the Tree in with the Goblin Village...whether It likes it or not.
I spent many a happy hour in one wooded stretch of the Northeast or other myself; I guess it shows. Here in Central Texas, the Hill Country, the trees are wonderfully twisted beasties...very spooky.

Thanks, Fram...colorful & creepy are my things!

I love the tree, Please tell me that you made it from a branch or sapling of a real plant and did not sculpt it by your own ingenious self!

Keep on making your own fantasy come to live please and share it!

Thanks, GS! This one is made from a living oak or pecan twig...I'll have to check which. In the back ground you can make out a W.I.P. home grown tree.
I'll keep the stuff coming as long as I'm up to it & my social life stays as vacuous as always.

I'm reliefed it's natural stuff. I would have had to bow very deeply :)

Now I still have to admit that the tree is very nice as it is. The additions of eyes make it special.

Thanks, Matt. I was shooting for something between the Brothers Grimm & Tim Burton with a bit of Froud & Henson.

You are being too modest, sir. There is something uniquely of your own there. I salute you.
