I love the colour of the eyeballs on the tree. Very sinister.... I'm scared.

Thanks, beefcake! In actuality the eyes have more of a glow to them than the photos would have you believe...photos are such liars. AND there is something about the beads that give the illusion of following you around...definitely creepy stuff.

Great work! Bright desaturated psichedelic colours are a weird choice nowadays. It works really well, very personal and very effective!

Thanks, randy. I'm glad you like the somewhat LOUD colors. I do enjoy the vibrant shades, & they fit nicely with the strange, surrealistic settings; it's all part of that imminent senility thingy.

The pingo tree is brilliant, like everything else on this thread. I particularly like the contrast of the tree and mushroom colours with the reddish ochre soil. Must be a high iron content. Maybe the goblins mine it  somewhere in the spooky woods :D

Of course I might be completely wrong. Maybe it's bauxite instead.

Thanks, Thew. It's good to know you are enjoying The Project & took the time to say so.
It wasn't a conscious decision, but I think I went for a loamy, clay look; re, it seems that whenever I had occasion to camp out I would wind up doing so on clay...then it would rain. Quite a bit of my camping stuff & reenactment gear sported rusty orange streaks...it left its mark on my psyche as well.

AND now the latest on the Goblin Town surrounding Rapunzel's Twisted Tower. The new Hovel in the 'Hood:

...AND The 'Hood itself:

There you go. There will be YET MORE Hovels springing up, some paint for the Steam Powered Mushroom Observatory, & such thingies shortly...or not.

Thanks, Hobgoblin. The imminent possibility of crashing to the street below does seem to fit with a Goblins perspective on Life.

The area clearly has an active neighbourhood watch scheme going.

On that note, shouldn't at least one of the buildings have a timepiece on it? On the basis that it's not good to have the inclination if you haven't got the time, that is.

Your vision is inspiring. I'm looking forward to seeing the observatory in all its glory.

I have to stop in every once in a while to see what kind of mushroom madness is going on  lol Inspiring as always Deaf Nala! Your color choices really compliment the psilocybin architecture  o_o o_o and I mean that in the nicest way possible!

Thanks, Lord B! Being inspiring is one of those thing I've aspired to be....occasionally.
The Village Clock & its background story would be a perfect touch for the place. I'll have to checkout the possibilities...other than Cap'n John's pocket watch that is.
I'm also looking forward to the Grand Opening of the Observatory; re, I've had that ArmorCast Beasty sitting around for a long time.

Thanks, marianas_gamer. All my life I've dreamed of sailing the South Seas; ergo, I hope your life in Guam is as wonderful as I would imagine it to be...take into account the scope of the imagination here.
I think that the vivid colors that I enjoy may be yet another sign of imminent senility, but I'm glad you are enjoying them nonetheless.

I missed the last update, but it is nothing short of brilliant, again. Love the trees with the eerie eyes on their branches and also Rapunzel's tower scares the "you-know-what" out of me.
Really impressive, and as always, a joy to look at your creations. Thanks for sharing :).
