My Halo 15mm project.

Hi all!

As a great Halo fan, and as a miniature gamer, i've already done a lot of things about Halo so far: i made a fan comics (which i'm still making, now chapter 4), i've already converted some Wh40k Imperial Guards into Halo Marines, i've got some Mc Farlane's Halo Marines... Good boy .

As a 15mm fan, i wanted to do a little UNSC army.

Here's what i saw for marines (awaiting for them to be shipped):

Welcome to the forum.

Best thing to do I would suggest is a little search through LAF's search facility for Halo/reach/covenant related threads, you'll be pleasantly supprised...

Old Crow for 15mm vehicles and Ground zero games for loads of stuff including vehicles, troops and scenery etc..

I was meant to update my thread but I'll do it here, dropship mentioned these a while back, looks like they've been released now:

Khurasan miniatures have recently done some hard suited troopers with more than a little nod to Halo:



Also Khurasan and Critical Mass both have a range of aliens that would do for Covanent troopers.

Yeah i saw these before posting i've been pleased to see that i'm not the only one who though about this!

Just one word: AWESOME!

Have you ever though about vehicle?

I'd like to do Warthogs, but the only thing i've seen around was the model from Old Crow... And it really needs modelling...

Well, do you have any advices?

Hey i've done some "concepts" based off the sprites i'm using for my comics.
There are 3 Different uniforms, all from Halo1/Reach, Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Tell me which one would work the best

Well i don't really know, i really love Halo Reach Marines uniforms (wich are a bit better than my sprites x) ) but also a Halo 3 uniform is cool and would look a bit like this (with less green on pants and vests):


As you can see on this pict, the helmets look more like Halo1/Reach Marines

My bias is toward the first game's armour, wasn't too big on the direction they went after that. Reach and 1 have different armours by a fair bit.

Ah, the good ol' Halo Spriter's Project. I've still got some of the master sheets of all that stuff, small world, no? It was good practice back in the day, before I actually got into the sprite art and game art side of things.

Well I like the first game and reach armor. Even if the game is set in the 2550's, reach's equipement looks more "modernish" as halo 2 or 3...

Yeah i love making comics with sprites but those are a little bit customized
My next project is to make Reach sprites

Otherwhise, do you have any ideas where i could find minis which could look like warthogs, Falcons and Pelicans? 'cause the dropship model i've found for the pelican needs a lot of work... Or maybe i should use prepakura in the correct size in order to model them :p

At 15mm scale I couldn't say, but 28mm on the other hand. Maybe Ground Zero Games has something suitable for vehicles.

Right i asked people who work at ground zero games, and here are two models they propozed me:
The first one, which can look like a warthog with some modifications:


The second one, which can be a heavy APC for the UNSC:

(I think it has the Halo "thing")

And also, as seen in Halo Wars, the famous Cyclope, which has the same name on GZG: (can be a replacement unit):

My own Halo 28mm project schemes are reach based for UNSC and spartans, prefer the heavier, ground pounder look of the prequel uniforms to the other games.

Jon at GZG should be able to meet your needs no problems.

Yeah for sure! Reach is the best looking halo compared to the others! And when i saw on the internet that halo 1 may be redone with reach graphics, i was astonished!!!

Whatever, Reach uniforms are the best!

Also, does anyone have detailled plans of a warthog and a pelican please? i think i might build one from scratch.
