long time lurker here, finally got it together to do some posting with the finish of this build

Out - wait for it - standing.  The paintjob is just great - subdued enough to be "realistic", yet contrastive enough to catch the eye. Casting must have taken ages (I gather that's HirstArts or something similar?).

Yes, its all Hirst..other than a few props...I should have mentioned that...if you follow thru to the blog..I've detailed whats used, costs, time, etc. Thanks Chris...I am a big fan of your work I have seen here too!

Lovely finish on the Hirst arts stuff! Is that a mars/moonscape in the back?.........and does your building interior have an exterior leading out on to it?

Its a weathering powder, this orange one in particular is from http://www.awesomepaintjob.com/, Forge World also makes some nice powders

Yes, the table in the rear was something I did awhile ago the are some pictures of it with some 15mm stuff here http://plasticlegions.blogspot.com/2010/11/abandoned-base.html
I just put that in the background for looks with the photo's however there is an airlock (where the floor is painted with the big caution stripes)
so if I rotated the build 90 degrees clockwise, yes you could walk right on red moonscape.
