Crooked Dice Preview: Group Captain Jim
« on: February 24, 2011, 11:46:29 PM »
We are delighted to present Group Captain Jim sculpted by Andrew Rae. The CD Forum voted for him, so here he is!

Group Captain Jim has been dragged through the time stream by the malfunctioning Project Time Lift. Falling in and out of time, the WW2 hero appears as a ghost to the project team until Professor Plantagenet stabilises him with a wrist mounted chronal capacitor. This dashing out-of-time hero occasionally joins The Man From 2000 in his adventures.

We had some minor mastering issues on this one, but as ever Griffin has been brilliant, so we are returning masters to them tomorrow and we hope to have him on sale mid\late March.

Hope you like him!

Very nice indeed .

The gaming community is crying out for a suitable figure for a stage musical actor or reality show judge . This will do nicely !

Nice work! Even though I already made a custom Jim, I think I have to get this one.  Too well done to pass up!

I'm not too interested in Dr Who, but he'll work perfect for a modern detective of some sort.

Stick some blackglasses on him, and he'd make a great J.C. Denton. :)

Great looking mini! If I ever get a 'Withnail and I' RPG going, he's top of the list.  ;)

Who needs a figure that resembles an immortal time agent?  >:(

It really should have been the Hoff! Everyone needs a Hoff lol  ;)

No, Cap'n Jim is excellent and definitely on my "must-have" list. He's a great bit of sculpting by Mr Rae.

Are we to take it there will be a series of Cardiff-based lookalikes in the pipeline? Especially one with a bit of a gap between her front teeth and a rather gorgeous Japanese lady ;D

We can but hope, and perhaps for a Hoff-a-like too!

Cheers gents! He'll hopefully be out in the next couple of weeks.

Right off now to draw up a sculpting spec for 'The Hoff'! ;)

Don't tease - however he would be a good addition to 7TV!

If you do make a "Hoff" figure please put him in his signature 80's era leather jacket. I'm sure I can find a black 1982 Pontiac Trans Am in 1/50th scale.
