Never really imagined Cruise for the role...I'm starting to get worried... Like, really worried, like when they were making Judge Dredd the movie and I was really excited to see it even thou I knew it was going to suck...and it did...

Apparently his reps updated an hour ago via a tweet or a twitter or whatever-you-call-it saying he was still NOT confirmed for the project.

I guess attaching a big name star and producer would help secure a big budget.  I just hope the budget goes to good special effects and locations and not to paying Mr. Cruise.

I totally agree. A good script will be key to this project as most of the story has precious little dialogue.  Regardless, I don't think I like the idea of Tom Cruise "squeeling" his way though HPL (great term Silversixx).

They're basically doing a remake of Mission Impossible 3 with all the exterior changed to snow and mountains. And a small splash of Days of Thunder (One of the best films ever!) in the end when the main character is chased down an enormous rollercoasteresque avalanche/path on a sledge, chased by some star spawns on snow mobiles.
