DWMG Hungry Earth - Overlord 2011 show
« on: 07 March 2011, 10:55:38 PM »
Here are some pics from yesterday's show.

I ran a DWMG game based on the Series Five 'The Hungry Earth' episode at Overlord yesterday. It pained me that I didn't have enough of the main monsters - the Silurians - so I used some Sea Devils instead. The Heroes were the Doctor, Amy, Rory, some miners and security guards from the Cwmtaff Deep Drilling Project.

Action swung back and forth, and despite the Doctor triggering a stun pulse and some snazzy inventing, some very lucky rolls saved the Silurians! Both sides called a draw, but a great game in all!

That looks far from boring...

The hole thing looks terrific (you know the drill...) :D

That's a nice looking table!

Is the drill scratch built?

Yep - with the exception if the scatter stuff (Armorcast, Pardulon and Ainsty) and one Ainsty building - it has all been scratch built by long term Crooked collaborator Darren Couch of Black Knight Studios.

Darren built my Oil Rig of which the drill is part. The Rig was built as a modular construction to allow me as much flexibility as possible - so the other buildings are used on that, but also work standalone.

He's currently constructing all the buildings for our Salute Victory of the Daleks game - a WW2 British airfield.
