Skellingtons
« on: 17 March 2011, 03:20:40 PM »
Has anyone used ebob's skeleton armatures as actual undead miniatures?

http://www.ebobminiatures.com/products/fantasy.htm

I'm rather intrigued by the idea of a poseable metal miniature, but a little dubious too. If any of you talented gents have given it a go, would you mind sharing your opinions and/or photos?

Thanks

I haven't tried it, but a problem I had with the old ebob puppets is the limbs tended to snap when posing them and I fear this may be a problem here too.

Ah, I feared that would be the problem.  :?

Anyone got a more positive spin on this novel (to me) idea?

I think it might be a bit of work getting the bends concentrated to joints without the limbs getting a bit banana shaped.

Is it the 16 for £18? Don't see why anyone would go for that when there are proper skeletons available for less than a quid. =) Well.. if you feel the need to pose skeletons, ofcourse. =D

Haven't tried them but the painted example on the ebob site looks good:

Other than that the old plastic GW skeletons are usually cheaper second hand than these, but the 16 for 18 quid is still a rather nice deal 8)

I've spent/wasted a looooooooong time web surfing to find the ideal (for me, obviously) metal skeletons at the right (again, for me) price.

Enough! Enough I tell you  o_o All that painting time gone, pooooof!, into thin air. So I though #### it, and grabbed a box of 20 mantic plastics for under a tenner off ebay including postage. Now, back to the painting table!  lol

(but thanks for your opinions, gents - always helps to focus my musings  ;))
