Asylum project
« on: 18 March 2011, 11:07:59 PM »
Dear cultists,

with the Lead Adventure season one, I saw pics form Hammershield named 'ladies of the asylum'.
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=2709.0

That give me the idea of a game (Space Hulk like) where adventurers have to escape an asylum.
But the project was immediatly stop as I have no idea where can I can find some psychiatric patient with Straitjacket.

If some one could help me ...

Ramshackle games have a fig in a straitjacket.

Perhaps some hostage figs like those from TAG slightly modded? A straitjacket is a very simple addition.

I don't have a pictorial link, but I believe there are some asylum inmate types in the plastic Horrorclix range as well...

EDIT Actually, it is the Dreamblade range that I am thinking of:

Rafm Miniatures  Cthulhu character figures all have insane versions of themselves, all good but student investigator in strait jacket.

FU!UK had an asylum themed sculpting contest ( http://www.frothersunite.com/shop/06sculptwinners.html ). I'm not sure if some figures were cast after the end of the special sale, but the set does pop up on ebay now and then. Only one straitjacketed inmate, though (but the cthulhu doll girl and Frankenstein creature abductor are very nice).

That's the one Hasslefree is selling, as well as the girl (who's holding a Cthulhu plush toy). They bought the rights once the FU:UK sale ended.

Yes the FU!UK contest was exaclty what I search, but never found if the minis were produced ...

Now the quest for the inmate can begin  ;)

Yup and I have a set, there's a guy in straight jacket, sitting on the floor drawing with his feet, a orderly with a large syringe and a doc snapping on the rubber gloves, amongst others.

Good luck finding a set, not easy to come by now.

Keep posting the progress of your game.  I've been wanting to do the same thing for a long time now, just no time.  I did something similar once with Heroclix.  All the Weapon X characters Vs. SHIELD as Weapon X guards escaping the facility.  I just used standard clix rules then.  I'd love to do it with something more complex.
