Aeronef: Play-Test of the Full Neff Rules
« on: March 22, 2011, 04:22:31 PM »
Hi, I've noticed these forums coming up a few times whilst googling for Aeronef so thought I should join and share my VSF efforts with you.

Last Sunday we play-tested the Mid Anglia Wargamers latest version of our Full Neff rules for nef/dig combat. These rules are intended to provide a more detailed game than Wessex Game's Aeronef rules with typically 5-10 ships per player.

You can read more about the game here:

Welcome, and well met!

Love the game, play it far too seldom. I still cherish the evening the Prussian digs doused their flames via uncontrolled 'landing' at sea. Did the Queen proud, g'awd bless 'er!

The cards are indeed quite impressive, but I'm excited about the bases. As a fanboy of Full Thrust, the thought of a 'nef version leaves me all tingly. ;->=

I'd oft thought of mix-and-matching FT and Aeronef, which to be honest, already has overlap, but I love discovering someone else has already invented the wheel.

Please do keep us up-to-date on further crafting of the rules! Also, you'll notice there's a 'sticky' for all things Airbourne in VSF. You might add links to  any of the homebuilts I saw on your blog.

Thank's everyone for your comments.

I'll post some more information on the rules on my blog when I can but at the moment I have a lot of writing to do. I won't be posting the rules 'for free', if you would like a copy I would ask you to commit to play-testing them and let me have your feedback so they can be improved…

I like the idea of the mini-pegs :)
