gun crew?

On TMP I asked (paraphrasing) if they were crewed, controlled by remote, or the creatures were conditioned/"preset" by the Babbage based mind controller units for autonomous targeting?

Gracias,

Glenn

Great idea and very well executed. Presumably those "helmets" are some sort of radio-controlled "mind-control" device to enable them to fire without a crew being physically present? That would be my excuse, anyway.

I hope they have some sort of stabilization mechanism for the guns though. Minus 2 to hit?  :?

 lol

edit Damn! Glenn just beat me to it  ::)

Thinking to put some science type fellow on the base with them, or near them with some gizmo held in his hands. Not really sure which way to go, other than its of course totally silly to have an unprotected mind control operator standing out in the open of course. But it does look cool to have him near by. So I usually tend to go with the looks cool, cause it is VSF after all. So in all likelihood, the controller is in charge of where it goes and does the targeting / firing. Hope to have a picture of one of the handlers and a bit more base decoration done and posted in a few hours.

Very Good idea.

But, just for fun, what about the idea of "programmed/reprogrammable" units like in Rivets (the mini game) where you select a target type (infantry, mounted troops, artillery, automations, aeronefs, etc.) and if conditions change you have to recall the units, take a turn reprogramming the Babbage units, and send them out again?

Gracias,

Glenn

Here's a shot of the SPGs Handler, and the hot brass he has to dodge.

What other helpless creatures are you planing to turn into WMD (Weapons of Mass Distruction or Deforestation in this case).
Mine laying Mackrel ? explosive Emu? :D

LOL!  My bad!  I meant these - Mackrel  and Emu - when I said "... who makes them..."  Lack of clarity and bad humor on my part.

Gracias,

Glenn
